WXB extended season

WXB extended season

Postby Fallbarrow on Mon May 05, 2008 9:30 pm

I am posting this in the general forum as it is of general interest and concern. It seems that SLP have applied to extend the season at White Cross Bay (WXB)

I would suggest the WXB owners consider a formal objection to the application to the South Lakeland Parks Authority if there is no consultation and a majority consider this the correct course of action.

If I were at WXB and did not want to have the season extended and my site fees inceased, then I would be invoking it now as this would at least force the question out into the open.

Good suggestion Windermere. Would suggest both routes and any others that may be open

I am interested in the comments made regarding the extended season at WXB. Strangely, but not unbeleivable but when the question was asked last night non of the sales team were aware of the application being formaly submitted to the local authorities. The extended season is something that has been mentioned in passing but nothing confirmed. At the time of writing I have had no formal indication from SLP asking if i would like an extended season. Also the staff at WXB are not sure how to invoke the complaints proceedure. I was advised to write to head office.

We shall wait and see how things progress.

Has anyone heard anything about this yet? On Southlakeland's website you can apparently book for Christmas. However, when you go to the LDNP planning page it still doesn't say approved, just "recommendation entered". We've had nothing yet from the Park

I have not heard anything either, but then again I have not been asking. As I work in local government, I would trust the SLDC Website to be accurate.
