Staffing Problems

Postby wxbowner on Sat Mar 22, 2008 3:27 pm

Well looking forward to a weekend at White cross with great anticipations to see how things are going forward for the future.
It appears that there are still staffing problems at white cross according to my sources. There is still no Head or Assistant housekeeper, although there was a Head housekeeper for 2 whole weeks, unfortunatley she left due to personality clashes, ( with who ? )
More upseting is the fact that the Assistant General Manager has left, same problem I am led to believe, and most of the staff are demoralised, just when we thought things were on the up.

Surely the Directors at SLP are aware of the staff problems at White cross.
This is supposed to be a 5 star park. How can they let this situation go on. Most of the owners know what or who the problem is !!!
All of the staff Know what or who the problem is !!!

Can SLP realy afford to let good staff go ? I think not ! and what is worse is the staff that are left are extremely proffesional at what they do, but from my experience they wont tolerate the matter much longer.

Please Please Please SLP Directors address this appaling situation.

I appreciate that the salaries at SLP are low and are not consistant throughout the group. How they as a company can justify paying reception staff different rates at each park, management staff different levels on the same park,( that is lower level managers on more than senior managers).
The staff do accept these salaries when they accept the job but are they aware on the different scales.

I do think thourg that the Post originator was meaning something else for the problems at WXB though.

The word in the complex is that one individual is causing grief for the majority of good staff, therefore they are showing their angst by leaving, as SLP are not supporting their grievences. I for one would like to see the back of this individual, as would many other owners. SLP Directors no the problem and yet seem happy to let things carry on.

I do not believe for the sake of the Park that this can carry on much longer. When senior managers leave it does make you think ?

Having just arrived home after a few days at White Cross I decided to have a quick look at the SLP web site. The Assistant General Managers job has been advertised. £18500 for a six day week ! no wonder he left. They are also advertising for a receptionist, night warden ( strange I thought they had got one ) and still the famous housekeeping jobs.

Moral still seems pretty poor on the park and a tip for all you on gas bottles like me. Get onto the bottle check scheme. £44/ bottle if you pay over the counter/ £ 37.00 if you have it invoiced.
Buy now before they notice.

Even the sales team, usually chirpy guys and gal, look miffed.

Why is it more expensive to buy over the counter?

More to the point, why have I never been told about getting it cheaper by invoice?

GOOD NEWS

Postby wxbowner on Sat May 10, 2008 12:41 pm

I learnt from my sources at WXB that there has been a developement in customer services. As I have said in the past as have others customer care is and has in the past been a BIG problem, as has house keeping.

We have a HOUSE KEEPER. ( hopefully for a season )

and the other thing is that the CUSTOMER LIAISON MANAGER has handed in her notice. :P

This leaves the management team short staffed.
