I am, well probably, about to buy a lodge on fallbarrow. This would be for my own use and not rental. It is a preowned lodge. has anyone got any useful advise.
Congats on a good forum it is a great idea for owners to discuss issues and act together to resolve problems.

Hi Across

Welcome to the forum. I would echo everything that Windermere says. Your post and Windermere's will probably give SLP management the heeby jeebies. Somebody who is thinking of purchasing will now start asking some very legitimate but searching questions. You hopefully will now proceed into your prospective purchase with your eyes wide open. What will be worrying for SLP management is that their tardy attitude to customer satisfaction may well lose them (even if pre-owned) a sale. Hopefully more future owners will read this forum and enter into the deal fully informed.

On the positive side of things, Fallbarrow is a great place to have a lodge (that is why they charge so much for fees, so they keep telling me). Hopefully you won't be wanting banging night life at the club, or cheap prices at the shop, but you can get those in Bowness.

Hope you do purchase and get in touch for a meet if you do
